Major General Paul Woolever Newgarden (24 February 1892 - 14 July 1944)〔(Findagrave.com )〕 was an American general during World War II. Prior to his death he commanded the 10th Armored Division (United States). The 10th Armored Division "Tigers” played a key role in several engagements during World War II. While Major General William H. H. Morris took the "Tigers" into battle, Newgarden was the first to command and train them.
